Meet Greg Shaw
Founder of KindnessRX | Author of The Kindness Compass | Podcast Host | Lived Experience Advocate

I’m someone who’s been through the storm and still believes in kindness. I live with treatment-resistant depression, ADHD, PTSD, chronic pain, a traumatic brain injury, and lymphedema. I’ve tried dozens of medications, gone through TMS and ECT, and I’m currently in my third round of ketamine therapy. Healing hasn’t been linear—but I believe in showing up, even when it’s hard.
Through it all, kindness has been my compass. It’s what led me to study the science of healing—neuroscience, psychology, trauma recovery—and combine it with what I’ve lived through to create spaces of support and belonging for others. I’ve worked in management, run my own businesses, and poured my heart into creative work like writing The Kindness Compass and hosting the Creative Work Hour podcast.
What I’ve learned is this: kindness isn’t just about being nice. It’s a radical act of survival, of connection, of hope. And it’s for everyone—including you.
