Welcome to the KindnessRX FAQ.
This page answers the questions people ask most often about our support groups, resources, and online community. If you do not see your question here, please contact us and we will do our best to help.
What is KindnessRX?
KindnessRX is an online support and resource platform focused on kindness, connection, and emotional well-being. We offer free online peer support groups and practical resources for people living with mental health challenges, chronic pain, and brain injury.
Are your support groups free?
Yes. Our support groups are free to attend.
Are your support groups therapy?
No. KindnessRX support groups are peer support spaces, not therapy, medical care, or crisis services.
Who are the support groups for?
Our groups are for adults looking for compassion, connection, and support around mental health, chronic pain, or brain injury.
Do I have to talk in a group?
No. You are welcome to listen quietly until you feel ready to participate.
How do I join a group?
Visit our Support Groups page or Events page, choose the group that fits your needs, and use the event link provided for that session.
What kinds of support groups do you offer?
- mental health
- chronic pain
- brain injury / TBI
How do I know which group is right for me?
Start with the group that feels closest to what you are carrying right now. If your biggest struggle is anxiety, depression, loneliness, or emotional overwhelm, begin with Mental Health. If ongoing pain or illness is the main issue, begin with Chronic Pain. If you are living with brain injury or post-concussion challenges, begin with Brain Injury / TBI.
Is what I share confidential?
We ask all participants to respect privacy and confidentiality. Please also remember that any online group has limits, so only share what feels safe and appropriate for you.
What if I am in crisis?
KindnessRX is not a crisis service. If you are in immediate danger or worried you may harm yourself, contact emergency services or a local crisis line right away.
Where can I find your resources?
You can explore articles, tools, and support content in our Resource Library.
How can I contact KindnessRX?
You can reach out through our Contact page if you have questions, feedback, or accessibility needs.
