🌱 Kindness RX – Your Prescription for Well-being

Rooted in Real Life. Powered by Kindness.

Welcome to KindnessRX.org. I’m Greg Shaw—and I’m not a clinician or a guru. I’m someone who’s lived through treatment-resistant depression, ADHD, PTSD, chronic pain, a traumatic brain injury, lymphedema, and a lot more. I’ve tried dozens of medications, gone through TMS and ECT, and I’m currently in my third round of ketamine therapy. My healing hasn’t been linear—but kindness has always been my compass.

I created KindnessRX because I needed a space like this—one that blends real human experience with compassion, community, and science-backed support. Now I share it with you.

✨ A Vision Grown from Lived Experience

KindnessRX.org isn’t just a project. It’s a reflection of my personal journey and life’s work. I’ve spent years navigating mental and physical health challenges while also working in leadership, running businesses, writing The Kindness Compass, and producing the Creative Work Hour podcast.

This space is for people who are tired, who are healing, who want to feel seen, or who are simply seeking meaningful connection. Whether you’re dealing with emotional overwhelm, chronic illness, or just trying to keep going—you are welcome here.

đź’ˇ Why KindnessRX Exists

We believe healing happens in community, not isolation.

KindnessRX.org was created as a warm, accessible ecosystem built on three foundational pillars:

🧠 Lived Wisdom & Evidence-Based Insight
We translate the science of kindness, compassion, and resilience into clear, practical ideas—combined with real-life stories that remind you: it’s possible.

🛠️ Practical Tools & Daily Kindness Habits
Resources like the Kindness Toolkit and our interactive Kindness Challenges help turn emotional knowledge into meaningful daily actions.

🤝 Peer-Led Support & Genuine Community
Through live, peer-led groups (via GoBrunch), we offer safe, respectful spaces where you can be heard, understood, and supported—without judgment. These aren’t therapy sessions—they’re community conversations based in shared experience and hope.

🧡 An Invitation from Greg

You’re invited to explore the site, join a support group, ask a question, or simply browse. This is a space where you don’t need to have it all together to belong.

Whether you’re surviving, thriving, or somewhere in between, I hope KindnessRX becomes a place where you feel supported, seen, and reminded that your story matters.

Thank you for being here. Your presence truly makes a difference.
— Greg Shaw
