What to Expect in Our Sessions
Each session is facilitated by a trained peer support volunteer. Sessions are not medical appointments — they are a space to share your experience, listen to others, and feel genuinely understood. Topics often include managing cognitive fatigue, navigating relationships after injury, coping with identity changes, and finding moments of hope.
What This Group Is Not
This is a peer support group, not a medical service. Our facilitators are not doctors, nurses, or licensed therapists. We do not provide diagnoses, treatment recommendations, or medical advice. If you are in a medical emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.
KindnessRX peer support is designed to complement — not replace — your medical care.
Why Peer Support Helps After Brain Injury
When you hear someone else describe the same cognitive fatigue, the same frustration with memory, the same grief over who you were before — something shifts. You feel less alone. Peer support does not heal a brain injury, but it can make the journey more bearable.
